The task of managing recipes of the Greek Mediterranean Diet is one of the most critical aspects of the project, both for promoting the Greek Mediterranean Diet and, on the other hand, the products produced in Greece. There is a direct interconnection with the agri-food products showcased in the digital exhibition subsystem.
To achieve this goal, it is important to link the unique characteristics of Greek products with the principles, needs, and marketing elements that resonate with global consumers, such as quality, wellness, health-promoting foods, longevity, etc. Food—and the meals through which this project seeks to combine the aforementioned goals and methods of delivery—is a significant factor that can lead to achieving this objective through appropriate presentation and promotion actions.
A central role in this effort will be played by the “Greek Farms” sub-project of the current initiative, additionally aiming to connect Greek production and Greek food with elements of cultural, folklore, religious, historical, and touristic interest. It brings together many strengths and potentials of Greek society and important advantages in pursuing the objective, which remains to increase exports by boosting global demand for high-quality Greek products. The portal, with all its functionalities detailed in our company’s proposal, is aimed not only at creating consumers but also ambassadors of the Greek Mediterranean Diet. The experiences of the millions of annual visitors to the country are the best ambassadors abroad—based on their culinary experiences—and they are the first potential future consumers of Greek products once they return to their home countries. The Greek Farms Portal, as described in our proposal, aims to ensure both their quality gastronomic experience during their visit to Greece and to offer them the opportunity—through recipes and the ability to locate producers with those products—to reproduce these experiences outside Greece, thereby increasing Greek food consumption. Additional actions facilitating agricultural producers are also incorporated into the same portal, all aiming at increasing demand and expanding exports.
