The management of Greek Mediterranean Diet recipes constitutes one of the most critical components of the project, both for the promotion of the Greek Mediterranean Diet and for the promotion of products produced in Greece. There is a direct connection with the agri-food products presented within the digital exhibitions subsystem.
In order to achieve this objective, it is important to link the specific characteristics of Greek products with principles, needs, and marketing elements that dominate the global consumer, such as quality, well-being, health-promoting foods, longevity, etc.
Food and nutrition, through which the present project seeks to combine the above objectives and means of implementation, represent a significant factor that can lead to the achievement of this goal through appropriate presentation and promotion actions.
A central role is played by the connection of Greek production and Greek food with elements of cultural, folkloric, religious, historical, and touristic interest, combining multiple strengths and capabilities of Greek society and significant advantages in the effort to achieve the goal, which remains the increase of exports through the growth of demand in the global market for high-quality Greek products.
The portal, through its full range of functionalities, aims to create not only consumers but also ambassadors of the Greek Mediterranean Diet. The experiences of the millions of visitors to the country each year constitute the best ambassadors abroad (depending on the dietary experiences they had during their visit) and the first potential future consumers of Greek products upon returning to their countries of residence.
The Greek Farms Portal aims to ensure both their high-quality gastronomic experience during their visit to the country and to offer them, through recipes and producer discovery functionalities, the ability to recreate these experiences outside Greece, thereby increasing the consumption of Greek food products. Complementary actions to facilitate agricultural production stakeholders are also integrated into the same portal, always with the same objective: facilitating increased demand and expanding exports.
