Asl\u0131nda mitolojiye g\u00f6re Afrodit, Kithira denizinin k\u00f6p\u00fcklerinden do\u011fmu\u015ftur. Adan\u0131n ba\u015fkenti Hora, pitoresk ve \u00f6zg\u00fcn mimarisiyle \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131kar. Adan\u0131n tepesindeki Venedik kalesi, ziyaret\u00e7ilerini \u0130yon Denizi’nin e\u015fsiz manzaras\u0131yla b\u00fcy\u00fcleyerek buran\u0131n zengin tarihine tan\u0131kl\u0131k eden bir ba\u015frol oyuncusudur. \u0130kinci roldeyse adan\u0131n en \u00fcnl\u00fc ikinci yerle\u015fimi olan Kapsali vard\u0131r. Yo\u011fun do\u011fal g\u00fczelliklere sahip di\u011fer geleneksel yerle\u015fimler Karavas, bal\u0131k\u00e7\u0131 k\u00f6y\u00fc Avlemonas, su de\u011firmenleri, akan sular\u0131 ve \u015felaleleriyle \u00fcnl\u00fc Milopotamos, adan\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fck k\u00f6y\u00fc Potamos\u2019un yan\u0131 s\u0131ra Milopotamos, Hustis ve Kalamos da me\u015fhur ma\u011faralar\u0131yla hi\u00e7 de az\u0131msanacak t\u00fcrden de\u011fildir. Ada ayn\u0131 zamanda z\u00fcmr\u00fct ye\u015fili sular\u0131yla \u00e7ok boyutlu plajlar\u0131 ve vah\u015fi k\u0131s\u0131mlar\u0131yla \u00fcnl\u00fcd\u00fcr.
