Ancak ad\u0131n\u0131n Fenikece ta\u015f y\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 anlam\u0131na gelen ios kelimesinden geldi\u011fini iddia eden tan\u0131kl\u0131klar da mevcuttur.<\/p>\n\n<p>Tarihsel olarak, Erken Kiklad D\u00f6nemine (M\u00d6 2800 &#8211; 2300) ait olan ve bu d\u00f6nemin en b\u00fcy\u00fck ve en iyi korunmu\u015f yerle\u015fimi olan Erken Kiklad yerle\u015fimi Skarkos\u2019a hak etti\u011fi de\u011fer verilmelidir. Bu arkeolojik alan, \u00f6rnek restorasyonu ve korunmas\u0131 nedeniyle \u00f6d\u00fcl kazanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Herodot, \u015fair Homeros&#8217;un \u0130os&#8217;ta \u00f6ld\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc iddia ederken, antik gelene\u011fe g\u00f6re mezar\u0131 adan\u0131n en kuzey noktas\u0131ndaki Plakoto&#8217;da bulunmaktad\u0131r. \u00c7o\u011fu Hora\u2019dan ba\u015flayan ve UNESCO taraf\u0131ndan tan\u0131nan patikalar, bu yerin tarihiyle i\u00e7 i\u00e7edir.   <\/p>\n\n<p>\u0130os turu, g\u00fczel pitoresk sokaklar\u0131 ve orta \u00e7a\u011f kalesi kal\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131yla geleneksel Hora&#8217;dan ba\u015flar. En y\u00fcksek noktas\u0131nda, adadaki 365 kiliseden biri olan Panagia Gremiotissa, etkileyici g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcyle \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131kar! Liman\u0131n yan\u0131ndaki Gialos, Manganari ve Milopotas hem en \u00f6nemli \u00fc\u00e7 koy hem de kolay eri\u015filebilir \u00fc\u00e7 sahildir. Ancak \u00e7o\u011fu insan\u0131n bilmedi\u011fi \u015fey, \u0130os&#8217;un hem egzotik ve vah\u015fi g\u00fczellikleri hem de b\u00fcy\u00fcl\u00fc sular\u0131yla etkileyici bir dizi plaja sahip oldu\u011fudur. Adada, tam olarak da Manganari koyunda, Frans\u0131z filmi \u2018Derinlik Sarho\u015flu\u011fu\u2019nun baz\u0131 sahnelerinin \u00e7ekilmi\u015f olmas\u0131, g\u00f6r\u00fclecek manzaralar hakk\u0131nda iyi bir fikir verir. Kolitsani, Tris Klisies, Agia Theodoti, Pikri Nero, Sapunohoma, Kumbara, Papa, e\u015fsiz plajlardan sadece birka\u00e7\u0131d\u0131r.     <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Gastronomi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>\u0130os, k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck boyuna ra\u011fmen \u00f6nemli gastronomik \u00fcr\u00fcnler sunar. Bunlar\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda, bu Kiklad adas\u0131nda, ilgin\u00e7 bir lezzet yelpazesi olu\u015fturan \u00fcnl\u00fc peynirler gelir. Ksino (ek\u015fi, yumu\u015fak kremams\u0131 bir peynir) ve Mikonos\u2019un kopanisti peynirini and\u0131ran baharatl\u0131 skotiri (yalanc\u0131 kekik gibi aromatik otlu lor ve kelle peyniri kar\u0131\u015f\u0131m\u0131) adan\u0131n en \u00fcnl\u00fc iki peyniridir.
