Adan\u0131n \u00fcnl\u00fc da\u011f\u0131 \u2018Saos\u2019 (ay) ve \u2018Trakya’dan t\u00fcretilmi\u015f ad\u0131, Trakya Ay\u0131 anlam\u0131na gelir. 1863 y\u0131l\u0131nda adada bulunan ve g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde Paris’teki Louvre M\u00fczesi’nde sergilenen \u00fcnl\u00fc Kanatl\u0131 Samothraki Zaferi heykeliyle d\u00fcnya \u00e7ap\u0131nda tan\u0131n\u0131r. Ancak Samothraki, adan\u0131n antik kenti Paleopolis’teki B\u00fcy\u00fck Tanr\u0131lar Mabedi’nde ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen Kaviria Gizemleri’nden dolay\u0131 s\u0131kl\u0131kla \u2018gizem adas\u0131\u2019 olarak da bilinir. Ziyarete a\u00e7\u0131k olan Kutsal Alan, Samothraki\u2019deki en \u00f6nemli arkeolojik alanlardan biridir. Bir gizem adas\u0131 olmas\u0131n\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra Havari Pavlus’un MS 49 y\u0131l\u0131nda Avrupa topraklar\u0131ndaki ilk dura\u011f\u0131 olarak buray\u0131 se\u00e7mesi nedeniyle eski \u00e7a\u011flar\u0131n en \u00f6nemli dini merkezlerinden biri olmas\u0131, onu ruhani y\u00fckseli\u015f adas\u0131 da yapm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morfoloji a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan Samothraki zengin bitki \u00f6rt\u00fcs\u00fc, \u015felaleleri, vah\u015fi kayal\u0131klar\u0131 ve da\u011fl\u0131k k\u0131sm\u0131yla \u00f6zel bir destinasyondur. Adan\u0131n kahraman\u0131 1600 metreden daha y\u00fcksek olan Saos Da\u011f\u0131, Samothraki\u2019yi (Girit ve Evia hari\u00e7) Ege’deki en b\u00fcy\u00fck y\u00fcksekli\u011fe sahip Yunan adas\u0131 konumuna getirmi\u015ftir. Y\u00fcksekli\u011fiyle ay\u0131 gizledi\u011finden dolay\u0131 adan\u0131n yerlileri bu da\u011fa Saos (ay) ad\u0131n\u0131 takm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samothraki’nin vah\u015fi, bozulmam\u0131\u015f g\u00fczelli\u011fini kristal berrakl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki sular\u0131na de\u011fen heybetli \u00e7\u0131nar a\u011fa\u00e7lar\u0131n\u0131n bulundu\u011fu plajlar ve masmavi denizde y\u00fckselen \u00fcrk\u00fct\u00fcc\u00fc kayalar tamamlar. Gastronomi<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samothraki nadir g\u00fczelliklerinin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra e\u015fsiz bir mutfa\u011fa da sahiptir.
