G\u00fcneydo\u011fu Ege Denizi’nde yer alan Kos, Oniki Adalar\u0131n Rodos ve Karpathos\u2019tan sonra \u00fc\u00e7\u00fcnc\u00fc b\u00fcy\u00fck adas\u0131d\u0131r. Genellikle, Koslu olan t\u0131bb\u0131n babas\u0131 \u2018Hipokrat’\u0131n adas\u0131\u2019 olarak an\u0131l\u0131r. Hipokrat\u2019la olan ili\u015fkisi, adan\u0131n ya\u015fam\u0131yla ili\u015fkili bir\u00e7ok \u00f6nemli an\u0131t ve sitede g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. Adan\u0131n tarihi, antik \u00e7a\u011flardan beri g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir ticaret ve k\u00fclt\u00fcr merkezi olmas\u0131 nedeniyle \u00f6zel bir \u00f6neme sahiptir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Ba\u015fkenti ve liman\u0131, ihti\u015fam\u0131 ve tarihi miras\u0131yla etkileyici Kos \u015fehridir. Antik agoradan, b\u00fcy\u00fck stoadan, Hipokrat’\u0131n \u00e7\u0131nar a\u011fac\u0131ndan, antik stadyumdan \u015fehrin yakla\u015f\u0131k 4 km d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndaki \u00fcnl\u00fc Asklepion’a kadar Kos, capcanl\u0131 bir m\u00fczedir. \u015eehrin tarihiyle tan\u0131\u015fmak i\u00e7in arkeoloji m\u00fczesi mutlaka ziyaret edilmelidir. Kalbi Eleftheria Meydan\u0131 olan \u00e7a\u011fda\u015f \u015fehir, sadece mimarisi ve an\u0131tlar\u0131yla de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda bisiklet yollar\u0131yla da \u00fcnl\u00fcd\u00fcr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tabi ki ba\u015fkent d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda da do\u011fal g\u00fczelliklere ve tarihe tan\u0131kl\u0131k eden di\u011fer ilgi \u00e7ekici noktalar vard\u0131r. Asfendiu yerle\u015fimi, kapl\u0131calar, muhte\u015fem manzaras\u0131yla da\u011fl\u0131k Zia k\u00f6y\u00fc, ayn\u0131 ad\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131yan kaleleriyle Antimahia ve Kefalos k\u00f6ylerinin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra tavus ku\u015fu s\u0131\u011f\u0131na\u011f\u0131 olan Plaka Orman\u0131 adada ziyaret edilmesi gereken \u00f6nemli yerlerdir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kos Adas\u0131\u2019n\u0131n ba\u015fka bir kozu da kristal mavisi sular\u0131 ve geni\u015f sahil \u015feridiyle g\u00fczel plajlar\u0131d\u0131r. \u015eehrin yak\u0131n\u0131nda Tigaki plaj\u0131nda, biraz daha uzakta Agios Theologos, Mastihari, Kefalos, Psalidi ve Kardamena plajlar\u0131nda y\u00fczmeden adadan ayr\u0131l\u0131nmaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gastronomi<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kos, \u00e7e\u015fitli k\u00fclt\u00fcrel etkilerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra verimli topraklar\u0131na ve \u00fcretti\u011fi \u00fcr\u00fcnlere dayanan zengin bir gastronomi gelene\u011fine sahiptir. Geni\u015f zeytinliklerden elde edilen zeytinya\u011f\u0131, \u00fcz\u00fcm ba\u011flar\u0131ndan elde edilen \u015farap -g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde, yerel \u015farap \u00e7e\u015fitlerini tatmak i\u00e7in ziyaret\u00e7ilere a\u00e7\u0131k iki \u015faraphane vard\u0131r- ve bal, Kos topraklar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nde gelen \u00fcr\u00fcnleridir. Bunlardan sonra s\u0131rada, ke\u00e7i ya da koyun s\u00fct\u00fcnden yap\u0131lan ve peynir mayas\u0131nda bekletilen me\u015fhur \u015farap peyniri gelir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yerel tarifler aras\u0131nda, peynirle doldurulmu\u015f ve halka \u015feklinde k\u0131zart\u0131lm\u0131\u015f hamur katimeria, et suyuyla pi\u015firilen ve lazanyaya benzer el yap\u0131m\u0131 makarna pitaridia, bulgurlu domuz eti vard\u0131r.
