Trots att de har gemensamma principer finns det skillnader som beror p\u00e5 kulturella och geografiska influenser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medelhavsdieten f\u00f6renar olika kulturers kulinariska traditioner, medan klosterdieten, som ofta h\u00e4nvisar till den p\u00e5 berget Athos, f\u00f6ljer de strikta religi\u00f6sa regler och kostvanor som \u00e4r f\u00f6rknippade med klosterlivet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det f\u00f6rsta som de tv\u00e5 kostsystemen har gemensamt \u00e4r grunden: f\u00e4rska, naturliga och s\u00e4songsbetonade produkter. B\u00e5da fokuserar p\u00e5 intag av frukt, gr\u00f6nsaker, spannm\u00e5l och baljv\u00e4xter \u2013 livsmedel som \u00e4r rika p\u00e5 n\u00e4rings\u00e4mnen och kostfibrer. Olivolja \u00e4r en viktig ingrediens i b\u00e5da dieterna, som i allm\u00e4nhet inneh\u00e5ller en liten m\u00e4ngd bearbetade livsmedel och k\u00f6tt, till f\u00f6rm\u00e5n f\u00f6r fisk och skaldjur. Men de skiljer sig \u00e5t i fr\u00e5ga om kulturellt ursprung, religi\u00f6sa influenser och konsumtion. Medelhavsdieten f\u00f6rknippas med g\u00e4stfrihet och \u00e4r mer flexibel \u00e4n klosterdieten, som k\u00e4nnetecknas av disciplin och andlig reflektion. Den f\u00f6rstn\u00e4mnda kombinerar en social dimension med matkultur, medan den andra fokuserar p\u00e5 andlighet och klosterliv.
