Ce n\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs pas un hasard si l\u2019\u00eele abrite de nombreux mus\u00e9es qui attirent les visiteurs du monde entier. Le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre est le Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Moderne Goulandris, situ\u00e9 dans la ville principale, Chora. Les imposantes demeures de capitaines de marine, ainsi que les somptueux \u00e9difices arborant les caract\u00e9ristiques architecturales de la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 du <sup>XXe<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, t\u00e9moignent de la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 qui r\u00e9gnait autrefois sur l\u2019\u00eele. Le d\u00e9veloppement de la navigation a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant dans son \u00e9volution.    <br\/>Comme la plupart des \u00eeles, Andros doit son nom \u00e0 la mythologie et \u00e0 son premier habitant, Andros, de lign\u00e9e divine. <\/p>\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00eele d\u2019Andros se distingue \u00e9galement par la fertilit\u00e9 de son sol. La partie centrale de l\u2019\u00eele, en particulier, surprend par l\u2019abondance de ses eaux et sa v\u00e9g\u00e9tation luxuriante, qui mettent en \u00e9vidence la richesse naturelle de l\u2019\u00eele. L\u2019\u00eele offre de nombreuses possibilit\u00e9s de randonn\u00e9es int\u00e9ressantes.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Sa capitale, Chora, s\u00e9duit par son \u00e9l\u00e9gance et son dynamisme culturel. En \u00e9t\u00e9, ses \u00e9v\u00e9nements attirent l\u2019attention des visiteurs du monde entier. Parmi les autres villages \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir figurent Batsi, Korthi et Stenies. L\u2019\u00eele compte une trentaine de plages, dont plusieurs restent pr\u00e9serv\u00e9es du tourisme de masse. Parmi les plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bres figurent Le Saut de la Vieille, avec son imposant rocher qui se dresse dans l\u2019eau, Chrysi Ammos, une plage am\u00e9nag\u00e9e au sable dor\u00e9, Zorkos, au charme sophistiqu\u00e9 et au rivage scintillant, ainsi que Achla, pris\u00e9e pour sa beaut\u00e9 naturelle.    <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Gastronomie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>La terre fertile d\u2019Andros offre une riche palette de produits locaux et favorise le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019agriculture et de l\u2019\u00e9levage. Parmi les produits embl\u00e9matiques, on trouve des herbes sauvages, des courgettes, des artichauts, ainsi que des fromages locaux tels que le volaki, la kopanisti, le malako et la petroti. L\u2019\u00e9levage insulaire permet de savourer les saucisses d\u2019Andros, aux notes d\u2019anis, la louza \u2013 morceaux de porc fum\u00e9 aux herbes \u2013 ainsi que l\u2019agneau et le chevreau, cuisin\u00e9s selon diverses recettes de la gastronomie grecque.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Enfin, impossible d\u2019\u00e9voquer la cuisine locale sans mentionner la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre fourtalia, une omelette g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse agr\u00e9ment\u00e9e de morceaux de saucisse locale et de pommes de terre frites. Aucune taverne ou restaurant de l\u2019\u00eele ne manque d\u2019inclure cette recette traditionnelle, que ce soit dans sa version authentique ou dans sa version revisit\u00e9e, plus moderne. Certains caf\u00e9s et petites tavernes la servent \u00e9galement, enrichie de l\u00e9gumes de saison, comme la courgettes ou les f\u00e8ves. Il ne faudrait par ailleurs pas oublier le lien particulier d\u2019Andros avec les p\u00e2tes artisanales. L\u2019\u00eele abritait autrefois plusieurs manufactures de p\u00e2tes, en activit\u00e9 depuis le d\u00e9but du XX\u1d49 si\u00e8cle. L\u2019une des plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bres, la Fabrica, situ\u00e9e dans le village de Stenies, non loin de la Chora, \u00e9tait m\u00eame l\u2019usine la plus productive de l\u2019ensemble des Balkans. Aujourd\u2019hui, aucune de ces manufactures n\u2019est plus en activit\u00e9. Sur l\u2019\u00eele, vous pourrez d\u00e9guster des poissons et fruits de mer frais, ainsi que des viandes locales savoureuses.      <\/p>\n\n<p>Mais ce sont surtout les douceurs traditionnelles qui occupent une place centrale dans la gastronomie locale. La renomm\u00e9e de la p\u00e2tisserie d\u2019Andros, qui trouve ses origines au d\u00e9but du si\u00e8cle dernier, attire tous les fins gourmets. Les fruits confits au sirop, les amygdalota, les kaltsounia et les pastitsakia sont autant de d\u00e9lices \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir, mais s\u2019il est une gourmandise incontournable, c\u2019est bien la nougatine moelleuse.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Comment s\u2019y rendre<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Andros, situ\u00e9e au nord-est de l\u2019\u00eele d\u2019Eub\u00e9e, fait partie de l\u2019archipel des Cyclades
