Se vaikuttaa muun muassa immuunij\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n toimintaan, ravinteiden imeytymiseen ja tulehduksen s\u00e4\u00e4telyyn. Viime vuosina <strong>ruokavalion merkitys suoliston terveydelle<\/strong> on ollut erityisen kiinnostuksen kohteena erityisesti sen osalta, millainen vaikutus sill\u00e4 on <strong>suolistomikrobien koostumukseen ja toimintaan<\/strong> \u2013 suolistossa el\u00e4v\u00e4t mikro-organismit suorittavat t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 toimintoja kehossamme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>V\u00e4limeren ruokavalio<\/strong>, jossa on runsaasti hedelmi\u00e4, vihanneksia, palkokasveja, jogurttia, oliivi\u00f6ljy\u00e4, p\u00e4hkin\u00f6it\u00e4, siemeni\u00e4, t\u00e4ysjyv\u00e4tuotteita ja kalaa, <strong>tukee suoliston terveytt\u00e4 ja auttaa luomaan ja yll\u00e4pit\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n eubioosia<\/strong>, eli tasapainoista suolistomikrobistoa. Erityisesti V\u00e4limeren ruokavalion noudattaminen on yhdistetty <strong>suolistomikrobien suurempaan monimuotoisuuteen<\/strong>, mik\u00e4 auttaa vahvistamaan suoliston terveytt\u00e4. Yh\u00e4 useammat tutkimukset ovat osoittaneet, ett\u00e4 V\u00e4limeren ruokavalio edist\u00e4\u00e4 hy\u00f6dyllisten bakteerien kasvua. T\u00e4llaisia bakteereja ovat esimerkiksi <em>Faecalibacterium prausnitzii<\/em>, jolla on tulehdusta ehk\u00e4isevi\u00e4 ominaisuuksia, sek\u00e4 <em>Bifidobacterium<\/em>-suvun bakteerit, jotka auttavat <strong>parantamaan metabolista terveytt\u00e4 ja est\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n kroonisia metabolisia h\u00e4iri\u00f6it\u00e4<\/strong>, kuten metabolista oireyhtym\u00e4\u00e4 ja tyypin 2 diabetesta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lis\u00e4ksi V\u00e4limeren ruokavalioon sis\u00e4ltyviss\u00e4 elintarvikkeissa on runsaasti ravintokuituja, polyfenoleita ja omega-3-rasvahappoja, jotka ovat kaikki hy\u00f6dyllisi\u00e4 suoliston mikrobiomille. <strong>Ravintokuitu edist\u00e4\u00e4 voihappoa tuottavien hy\u00f6dyllisten bakteerien kasvua<\/strong>, mik\u00e4 vahvistaa suoliston esteen eheytt\u00e4 ja <strong>v\u00e4hent\u00e4\u00e4 paksusuolisy\u00f6v\u00e4n riski\u00e4<\/strong>. Samalla kuitu auttaa <strong>lievitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ummetusta<\/strong> parantamalla vatsan toimintaa ja poistamalla ulostetta.
