Insbesondere ihre kardioprotektive Wirkung hat dazu beigetragen, dass sie <strong>weltweit als eine der ges\u00fcndesten Ern\u00e4hrungsweisen anerkannt und etabliert<\/strong> wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Begriff &#8222;Mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung&#8220; wurde erstmals von dem ber\u00fchmten Physiologen Ansel Keys verwendet, der die Sieben-L\u00e4nder-Studie erstellte. Die Sieben-L\u00e4nder-Studie untersuchte den Zusammenhang zwischen Ern\u00e4hrung, koronarer Herzkrankheit und der Mortalit\u00e4t aus allen Ursachen. Sie zeigte, dass die <strong>Mittelmeerl\u00e4nder, insbesondere eine Region in Kreta, die niedrigsten Sterberaten aufgrund von Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen im Vergleich zu den USA oder den nordeurop\u00e4ischen L\u00e4ndern aufwiesen. <\/strong>Diese Ergebnisse etablierten die mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung und insbesondere die griechische Variante, als eine Ern\u00e4hrungsweise, die zur guten kardiovaskul\u00e4ren Gesundheit beitr\u00e4gt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seitdem haben zahlreiche, noch besser konzipierte, Studien die kardiovaskul\u00e4ren Vorteile der mediterranen Ern\u00e4hrung best\u00e4tigt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eine gro\u00dfe klinische Studie (PREDIMED-Study),<\/strong> die 7.477 Personen mittleren Alters mit erh\u00f6htem kardiovaskul\u00e4rem Risiko einbezog, <strong>wurde mit dem Ziel durchgef\u00fchrt, die Auswirkungen der mediterranen Ern\u00e4hrung auf das Auftreten von kardiovaskul\u00e4ren Ereignissen<\/strong> (Myokardinfarkt, Schlaganfall und kardiovaskul\u00e4re Mortalit\u00e4t) <strong>zu untersuchen<\/strong>. Die Teilnehmer wurden in drei Gruppen unterteilt: Eine Gruppe erhielt eine mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung mit einer erg\u00e4nzenden Zugabe von extra nativem Oliven\u00f6l; eine andere Gruppe erhielt eine mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung mit einer erg\u00e4nzenden Zugabe von N\u00fcssen und die dritte Gruppe erhielt eine fettarme Ern\u00e4hrung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Ergebnisse der Studie zeigten, dass Personen, die sich an eine mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung mit erh\u00f6hter Aufnahme von Oliven\u00f6l oder N\u00fcssen hielten, im Vergleich zu den Personen, die eine fettarme Ern\u00e4hrung befolgten, <strong>bis zu 30% weniger kardiovaskul\u00e4re Ereignisse<\/strong> aufwiesen.<a href=\"#_edn1\" id=\"_ednref1\">[1]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zudem haben mehrere Meta-Analysen die positive Wirkung der mediterranen Ern\u00e4hrung auf die kardiovaskul\u00e4re Gesundheit best\u00e4tigt. Eine Meta-Analyse, die prospektive und klinische Studien einbezog, zeigte, dass eine <strong>konsequentere Befolgung der mediterranen Ern\u00e4hrung mit einem verringerten Risiko f\u00fcr kardiovaskul\u00e4re Ereignisse und einer geringeren Mortalit\u00e4t aufgrund dieser Ereignisse<\/strong> verbunden ist. Insbesondere zeigte die Analyse von Daten aus prospektiven Studien eine Reduzierung des Morbidit\u00e4ts- und Mortalit\u00e4tsrisikos von etwa 30%, w\u00e4hrend das Risiko noch st\u00e4rker reduziert war \u2013 um 40-45% \u2013 als die Ergebnisse aus klinischen Studien analysiert wurden.<a href=\"#_edn2\" id=\"_ednref2\">[2]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abschlie\u00dfend kann gesagt werden, dass sich die mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung als eine der vorteilhaftesten Ern\u00e4hrungsweisen f\u00fcr die Gesundheit des Herzens etabliert hat.
