Diese Ern\u00e4hrung, aufgrund ihres hohen Gehalts an gesunden Fetten, wie sie in Oliven\u00f6l und Fisch enthalten sind, tr\u00e4gt unter anderem zur Senkung wichtiger Risikofaktoren, wie die Cholesterinwerte im Blut und der arterielle Blutdruck, bei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Modell der mediterranen Ern\u00e4hrung scheint offenbar auch <strong>vorbeugend gegen die Entstehung von Typ-2-Diabetes und dem metabolischen Syndrom<\/strong> zu wirken, w\u00e4hrend es auch mit einer besseren glyk\u00e4mischen Kontrolle assoziiert wird. Die potenziellen positiven Auswirkungen dieses Ern\u00e4hrungsmusters sind vor allem auf die positiven Eigenschaften der Lebensmittel zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren, aus denen dieses Ern\u00e4hrungsmodell besteht, wie z. B. Obst, Gem\u00fcse, minimal verarbeitete Vollkornprodukte und H\u00fclsenfr\u00fcchte, die Schutz vor chronischen Krankheiten bieten, welche mit der modernen Lebensweise einhergehen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus tr\u00e4gt diese ausgewogene Ern\u00e4hrung zur Aufrechterhaltung eines gesunden K\u00f6rpergewichts bei; ein Faktor der wiederum das Risiko f\u00fcr die Entwicklung von Fettleibigkeit und zahlreichen, damit verbundenen, Erkrankungen verringert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eine striktere Befolgung der mediterranen Ern\u00e4hrung scheint mit einem <strong>geringeren Risiko f\u00fcr bestimmte Krebsarten <\/strong>verbunden zu sein. Studien belegen, dass Lebensmittel, die reich an antioxidativen und entz\u00fcndungshemmenden Substanzen sind, wie Obst und Gem\u00fcse, Oliven\u00f6l, N\u00fcsse\/Samen und Fisch, einen erh\u00f6hten Schutz gegen Krebs gew\u00e4hrleisten k\u00f6nnen. Obwohl die Auswirkungen der mediterranen Ern\u00e4hrung auf die <strong>Gesundheit der Knochen<\/strong> noch nicht umfassend untersucht wurden, deuten neuere Forschungen darauf hin, dass sie zur Verringerung des Risikos von H\u00fcftfrakturen beitragen k\u00f6nnte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben den k\u00f6rperlichen Vorteilen scheint die mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung auch <strong>eine wichtige Rolle f\u00fcr die psychische Gesundheit zu spielen<\/strong>.
