Zu den Gr\u00fcnden, warum Sie nach Athen gekommen sind, z\u00e4hlen sicherlich der Parthenon, die Akropolis und das (auch von mir) geliebte Arch\u00e4ologische Museum. Tats\u00e4chlich sollten Sie die nicht verpassen, insbesondere das Arch\u00e4ologische Museum. Sie k\u00f6nnen den Parthenon von vielen Punkten der Stadt aus sehen, sogar von Restaurants aus, und vielleicht ist das die beste Option. Wenn Sie au\u00dferhalb der Saison hier sind, k\u00f6nnen Sie auch den Felsen besteigen, um ihn aus der N\u00e4he zu betrachten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allerdings hat Athen auch Einwohner, die in der Gegenwart leben, und K\u00fcnstler, die heute kreativ sind, und die moderne Kultur, gleich wie sehr sie durch die Globalisierung auch durchmischt worden ist, bewahrt dennoch einige echte griechische Elemente. Im Viertel Metaxourgeio gibt es verschiedene Attraktionen, wie zum Beispiel ein buddhistisches Zentrum (Zen Center, Odos Agisilaou), wo Sie nach einem langen Tag voller Spazierg\u00e4nge meditieren oder Yoga machen k\u00f6nnen. Jetzt fragen Sie sich sicher, was der Buddhismus, denn mit Griechenland zu tun hat. Nichts konkretes, au\u00dfer dass der moderne Mensch, gleich ob Grieche oder auch nicht, in vielen Kulturen nach Anregungen sucht, um seinen Horizont zu erweitern, und eine M\u00f6glichkeit daf\u00fcr ist f\u00fcr mich nat\u00fcrlich, zeitgen\u00f6ssische K\u00fcnstler zu sehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben viele neue Restaurants, die neu interpretiertes griechisches Essen anbieten. Ein beliebter Spaziergang, den ich nach einem Besuch unserer Galerie empfehle, f\u00fchrt zu der Pnyx, vorbei an der Synagoge. Daneben befindet sich das Denkmal f\u00fcr die Opfer des Holocaust, ein Werk von DeAnna Maganias. In der heutigen Kultur der Griechen dreht sich vielmehr um das Theater, also muss man Griechisch sprechen, um zuzuschauen. Selbstverst\u00e4ndlich werden in gro\u00dfen Institutionen wie Stavros Niarchos oder auf dem athener Epidaurus-Festival viele Produktionen auch mit englischen Untertiteln gezeigt. Sie k\u00f6nnen auch das Nationale Museum f\u00fcr Zeitgen\u00f6ssische Kunst (EMST) besuchen, mit zahlreichen Ausstellungen von Griechen und Anderen, Gruppen sowie Einzelk\u00fcnstlern, und anschlie\u00dfend k\u00f6nnen Sie nach Koukaki gehen, um in den trendigen Restaurants und Caf\u00e9s zu essen. Dann gibt es da noch die Nationalgalerie neben dem ehemaligen Hilton. Zum Schluss noch ein wichtiger Hinweis: Man kann nicht alles sehen. Man muss nicht alle K\u00e4stchen ankreuzen. Gehen Sie gem\u00fctlich spazieren, schauen Sie sich um, setzen Sie sich auf eine Bank und trinken Sie ein Bier, das Sie auch am Kiosk kaufen k\u00f6nnen, und essen Sie in den unglaublichen Restaurants, von denen st\u00e4ndig neue er\u00f6ffnet werden, eines k\u00f6stlicher als das andere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
